| History of Kroh's Nursery |
|
In 1958, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Kroh established Kroh’s Nursery on Bond Street in Bel Air, Maryland. Curtis and his wife sold quality annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees as well as fresh produce. The year 1974 introduced Rob and Mickie Sachs as new managers of Kroh’s Nursery. By 1980, the Sachs’ had become the current owners and operators of the nursery. County wide growth necessitated the relocation of the nursery in 1988 to Churchville. The new location allowed the Sachs to offer both a larger inventory of plant material and a greater variety of gardening services. The 1990’s saw a further evolution in Kroh’s Nursery. With the addition of Jeff Sachs, the family began to offer custom design/build landscape services including hand crafted stone walls and patios, garden pools and waterfalls, and landscape maintenance. Jeff also began to introduce Harford County to hard to find, rare and unusual specimen plant material. Finally, in 2005, further expansion was needed resulting in the relocation of the nursery to its current site on Churchville Road in Aberdeen, Maryland. In addition to the nursery services, Kroh’s continues to offer custom made seasonal items and decorations. The knowledgeable staff creates floral centerpieces for Easter, Halloween, Chanukah and Christmas. Kroh’s also provides a wide assortment of live and fresh cut Christmas trees to compliment the selection of fresh cut garland, swags and wreaths. |
